2025: We've been coming here for many years, and are never disappointed. I enjoyed the beautiful salad, the super flavorful crab cake, moist rabbit, and incredible French apple cake. The portions are not huge, so this four corse meal felt just right, not too much. 2024: still outstanding 2023:Still one of my favorite restaurants. Crab cakes and scallops were fabulous. 2019:Consistently excellent! Always a highlight of our trip. 2018: We've been coming here for many years, at least once a year. Never a disppointment! 2017:Outstanding! Crabcake appetizer was full of flavor. Scallops practically melted in my mouth with very tasty sides, rabbit was delicious with crispy skin. Deserts were excellent. Friendly staff. Fun to watch the chef prepare every dish. We come here at least once a year. We will be back again.

I forgot to leave a review several years ago, when we went. I always recall having an amazing experience. The meal was worth remembering years later. I recommend T.J. Buckley's for anyone looking for a memorable dinner.

Exquisite food in a funky little diner environment. This establishment seats only 15 patrons at a time. Note that they do not have a full bar, so have your before dinner cocktail elsewhere before arrving. The food and sevice were excellent; would definitely go back.

I am very happy to have finally gone here. It's was a wonderful dining experience. It's small with what I believe to be 6 small tables which is a nice experience. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the appetizer buratta which was delicious but we didn't really have an idea of how to eat it. But we used our hands and got it done. I was able to enjoy the rabbit and my date enjoyed the steak, both were delicious. I enjoyed the house iced tea which was nice. There is no good parking, a couple of off street parking but there is a paid lot down the street, but it is free after 6pm. I was happy to get a reservation for Friday evening on a Wednesday morning. I am looking forward to going back again soon.

May 2025: Did something different this time, had the wagyu hanger steak which is new on the menu. Terrific but the portion size is small. June 8 2024: Still spectacular. Had the salad, crab cake and as usual the rabbit. Everything was terrific. This is the best restaurant in the Brattleboro area. It's in a diner building but don't let that fool you, its a supurb restaurant. This is the place we go when we attend concerts in Marlboro (about 30 minutes away). The rabbit is terrific. Update: We've eaten here every July for several years and we've never been disappointed. 2019: Here again for the Marlboro festival. I usually have the rabbit which is always great but this year a family of rabbits is living in my yard so I decided to have the beef instead, it was delicious. 2023: Back for the first time since COVID. Had the duck, it's excellent an different from any duck I've eaten.

Amazing dinner on Sunday, 4/25 at TJ Buckley’s. Excellent service, too! What a gem! Very cool remodeled vintage diner, retrofitted to accommodate this fine-dining restaurant with beautiful attention to every detail. Menu for entrees change changes daily and the server listed every dish with exacting care. Hands down, the best dining option in downtown Brattleboro.

TJ Buckley’s is an extraordinary restaurant, and one of the best I’ve been to. The staff is welcoming, and the chef is friendly and funny as well as talented at what he does. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, but still family-friendly. There are plenty of vegetarian/vegan options, and although I’m vegetarian the meat and fish does look good. Gorgeous presentation of food, and you can watch it being made. The salads are topped with flowers and beautiful garnishes and created with local organic produce. The creme brulee is my favorite dessert I’ve ever had.
